OUR BLOOMFIELD SHOP
We are so excited to announce the opening of our brick + mortar shop in the heart of Prince Edward County!

The SCANDISKIN shop is located in Bloomfield, Ontario (Canada), next to the renowned Green Gables market at 284 MAIN STREET, BLOOMFIELD. Our shop is a charming little space which was originally a barber shop and still retains much of it's authentic charm!
Our winter hours for January are:
SATURDAY & SUNDAY 12pm to 4pm
The next time you're in the County, please pop by the shop and say hello! I (Trish) run the shop and am there every day we are open. :)
We offer complimentary samples of various skincare in reusable take-home tins and offer a much larger variety of products than what is available on our site, including books about nature and slow living, handmade scarves and jewelry, art prints, gift sets and more!
WELCOME TO PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY
The County is centrally located between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, just south of the city of Belleville & Quinte West.
Located roughly 2.5 hours east of Toronto and 3 hours west of Ottawa, Prince Edward County (or The County as us locals call it) is technically an island community with access by 3 bridges or via the Glenora Ferry. Some may argue it is not a 'real' island, but either way water must be crossed to access it and we share a strong island spirit which is seen and felt across the County with our strong agricultural community and historic ties to the land and limestone.
Speaking of limestone, the County boasts more than 40 wineries (various grape varietals thrive in soils rich in limestone, which adds delicate minerality and acidity to wine), multiple breweries + cideries and just outside Bloomfield we have a beautiful distillery KINSIP House of Fine Spirits that also produces some of the best maple syrup we've ever tasted!
Though we are well known for our wineries and breweries, we are surrounded by over 500 km of coastline which attracts outdoor enthusiasts, boaters and fishermen/women year round. The area is a very popular destination for nature lovers as we boast multiple conservation areas such as:
-
Sandbanks Provincial Park - home of the worlds largest baymouth barrier dune formation and some of Ontario's most beautiful beaches with fine-grain pristine sands
-
The Millenium Trail - old railway line converted to a gravel packed trail which spans 49 km across the County and is popular among bikers, bird watchers and families
-
Beaver Meadow Conservation Area - Trish's personal favourite, this dreamy area is comprised of wetlands, deciduous forests and family-friendly walking trails. Both lead to a lookout point over the vast wetland area, where you can hear and see a wide variety of birds, turtles, beavers, etc.
The island we get to call home is a nature lovers DREAM and we invite and encourage you to explore the natural landscape and take in our rich local culture! :)
